Klain Networking provides a variety of computer and network repair and installation services at costs that leave the big stores and companies in the dust!

Let me begin with a little about myself. I've got extensive computer experience and have worked with advanced networks and ADP systems for over 15 years. In the Navy I was on the team that designed and installed the unclassified, Internet-accessible computer system for the U.S. Navy headquarters staff in the Pentagon. In 1997 I supervised the design, installation and testing of the first wireless network on a Navy ship. I also designed and installed a sophisticated computer network and database system for use on a major classified project following 9/11.

I guess all that makes me kind of a computer geek. After successfully designing and installing my own wireless and wired network, several friends and neighbors began asking me to help them install wireless networks in their homes after they became frustrated with the poor documentation and lousy tech support so common in the industry. Another good friend asked me to hook up her cable modem when Comcast told her she would have to pay a $90.00 installation fee to get a cable modem she already owned up and running. I've been shocked at the outrageous prices the cable companies, computer stores, and the big chains charge to install or repair components in computers let alone for them to come to your house and Klain Networking was born..

What service do I provide and why should you consider me? Simple - I guarantee to save you money or there is no charge to you! Sound too good to be true? Well it's not. I work out of my home and already have a full time job. I'm just looking to pick up a little extra money to support my computer habit. If you go to any of the computer/electronics chain stores, they'll charge you a minimum of $75.00 an hour to look at your computer or install new components. I charge $50.00 an hour plus the cost of any parts! If you can find someone who charges less and knows what they're doing take advantage of it. The services I provide include:

In-home wireless Network and Design
- I'll come to your home, survey it, examine your computers,discuss what your exact needs and desires are, and give you a written estimate of how much it will cost to have the network you desire. My fee for this service? $50.00

In-home wireless Network Installation
- If you want me to install the network, I'll obtain all the parts, install them (to include installing network interface cards and wireless access cards) and get your network up and running. Total price will depend on how complex the network is and how long it takes, but your cost will be just $50.00/hour plus parts.

In-home cable or DSL modem hook up
- The cable or phone company is happy to send a technician to your home and get your high speed internet connection up and running. They're even happier to charge you a fee of $90.00 an up. If you've already got the equipment and just need the installation, I'll do it for a flat fee of $50.00. If you need me to get the equipment for you, cost is $50.00 plus parts.

Computer Upgrades
- I can do anything from simply adding more memory to a complete system rebuild. Why pay those high fees when I can do the same work for much less? Two options for you here:
  - In home upgrade - $50.00 an hour plus parts
  - Bring it to my house and I'll complete the upgrade for just $35.00 an hour plus parts...save yourself some money by saving me the driving time!
Web Site Design and Maintenance
- There are plenty of "starter kits" and programs (some quite expensive) to make website design construction as easy as possible. Most of them do exactly what they advertise -- the allow someone with no HTML/PHP/MYSQL/PERL/XML programming experience to create a website. What they don't tell you is that they do this by generally very inefficient and sometimes insecure coding that (at best) makes your website waste bandwidth and slow to low and (at worst) exposes your website, webspace and/or network to security vulnerabilities.
- I've got experience developing Internet and Intranet websites for everything from the government to small businesses to families to small organizations (Scout Packs, Little League Teams, etc.). In most cases I can build a site to meet your needs in a few hours and either maintain it or give you the ability to update the content yourself for a true "turn key" solution to your website needs.
- Cost is just $50.00 an hour for on-site assistance, $35.00 an hour when I work from home.
